Watering-
Your lawn needs at least one inch of water per week to stay healthy.
Measuring how fast water comes out of your sprinkler is simple.
Put out several 12 ounce soup cans under your sprinkler, note the
time that it takes to fill the least filled can with ¼ inch
of water, and multiply that number times four. This will tell you
how many minutes to water once a week to get one inch of water.
The
time of day that you water will also have an effect on your lawn.
Always water in the morning. Watering at midday will cause you to
lose valuable water to evaporation, and watering in the evening
could leave the lawn damp overnight, which can cause a fungus to
develop in the turf.
