Soil
Testing & Analysis
Soil pH is probably the most widely recognized measurement
when growing plants. For turf and ornamentals, the optimum
pH range is 6.5 to 7.5. To ensure maximum nutrient availability,
soil pH levels should be maintained in the optimum range
for the desired plant.
The
primary factor influencing soil pH is annual precipitation.
Indiana and Kentucky are included in the region that has
acidic soils.
A
soil test saves work in two ways. First, you may discover
that you don’t need to add amendments to the soil.
This is very rare, but possible. More likely, you will learn
what specific amendments are needed and how much you need
to put down. Second, soil tests save work because your lawn
will be healthier and less problem prone.
For
an additional charge of $30.00, Earth-N-Turf will do a soil
test and give you the detailed results along with our recommendations
on how to correct any soil problems that may exist. Click
